For anyone looking forward to Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition coming to Android, a tweet by the game’s Creative Director, Trent Oster, suggests we should see it launch on Android tablets November 28th. The tweet from @TrentOster reads:

We are targeting November 28 for all platforms. Since we have approvals, etc, we can’t 100% control the date on iOS, Mac and Android

More than a decade since the original release date in 1998, the Baldur’s Gate is still referred to as one of the best Role Playing Games out for the computer. The Enhanced Edition of Baldur’s Gate gives players an opportunity to revisit the original game, with new content included giving a whole new adventure as well as a new party member. Some new features included:

  • New Adventure: The Black Pits
  • New Character: Dorn Il-Khan as an in-app purchase
  • New Character: Neera the Wild Mage as an in-app purchase
  • New Character: Rasaad yn Bashir
  • New Player Voice sets as an in-app purchase
  • New Player Portraits as an in-app purchase
  • Multiplayer support between all platforms

Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition will set gamers back $9.99 and will be available for tablets through the Google Play Store. The game will also be available for the iPad as well as Windows and Mac computers.

Anyone looking forward to trying Baldur’s Gate on a tablet?
