HMC3260 Motorola shares with us the HMC3260, an Android powered desktop computer

Android may be huge for tablets and handsets, but let’s not forget about desktop computers! Today Motorola has launched an Android-powered pseudo-computer in China that will come with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread on deck, and as expected will allow users to run Android apps.

Motorola has teamed up with a cloud service provider known as WASU to pack this beast up with all sorts of content. The computer is complete with an 18.5-inch touchscreen monitor, keyboard and mouse included.  The  HMC3260 will allow users to play TV shows, movies, games, and surf the web. Here are the specs for the unique system:

  • Freescale i.MX53 ARM Cortex A8 1GHz
  • Memory: 1 GB DDR RAM, 4 GB NAND flash memory.
  • 18.5-inch LED display (1366×768 @ 60Hz, 16:9 widescreen)
  • Android 2.3.4 operating system, customized Android Launcher with rich desktop experience
  • TV and video client and integration
  • Broadband internet access through EuroDOCSIS and LAN (PPPoE / DHCP +, etc.)

At this time we don’t have pricing or any idea when it will be released, but the Motorola HMC3260 is an awesome concept and I certainly would love to toy with it. Be sure to hit up the source below to get more info. Who wants one?
