While it’s not confirmed yet, we could possibly see an Android and Ubuntu integration in the near future, giving the ability to run Android applications in Ubuntu. The 12.04 Ubuntu Developer Summit website has Android & Ubuntu as a UDS track. A more likely goal is making Ubuntu a better Android development platform.
The UDS is set to take place from October 31st to November 4th, and Google is also a sponsor of the conference. We expect to hear more on this when UDS comes, stay tuned.
